Temescal Canyon High School will have two big playoff games on the schedule on Tuesday.
The Titans baseball team will be at home for a 3:15 p.m. CIF-SS Division 5 game against Riverside Prep. They will take a 17-12 record into the game against the Silver Knights, who are 17-11. The Titans defeated Arrowhead Christian 8-5 in the first round.
Temescal Canyon’s leading hitters include:
— JT Carlile (.427, 17 RBIs, 21 runs)
— Jake Padden (.372, 31 RBIs, 21 runs)
— Landon Edwards (.371, 13 RBIs, 14 runs)
Pitcher Alex Castillo is 3-2 with a 2.78 ERA. Julian Gutierrez is 3-3 with a 3.73 ERA.
At 6 p.m. in the gym at Lakeside High, the Temescal Canyon boys volleyball team will take on Birmingham in the first round of the CIF Southern Regionals. The Titans defeated West Valley 3-1 on Saturday to win the CIF-Division 8 title.
