The driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on May 22 in Lake Elsinore has been identified as 46-year-old Lake Elsinore resident Usbaldo Gonzalez, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
According to the coroner’s report, Gonzalez was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. at the scene of the crash on South Spring Street, approximately 68 feet east of Library Street in Lake Elsinore.
The crash was reported at 9:34 p.m. Deputies arriving at the scene found a single vehicle involved with the driver suffering major injuries. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but Gonzalez died at the scene, authorities said.
