Readers of all ages can turn summer reading into rewards through the Riverside County Library System’s Summer Reading Adventure, running June 8 to July 17.
The annual program encourages community members to read throughout the summer and track their progress. As readers complete challenges and earn points, they can unlock prizes.
Lake Elsinore residents can participate through the Lake Elsinore Library and Lakeland Village Library. In addition to the reading challenge, Lakeland Village Library will host activities throughout the summer, including story times, arts and crafts programs and board game days.
Participants can register for the reading challenge online through Beanstack. Children earn points by logging reading time, while teens and adults earn points for each book they complete. Readers who reach prize levels can receive rewards while supplies last.
Prizes are tailored to different age groups. Children’s rewards include books, water bottles, painting kits and LCD writing tablets. Teens and adults can earn books, water bottles, flash drives and other items.
Those who complete the challenge will be entered into a countywide grand prize drawing.Â
