A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash reported at 9:34 p.m. on Friday, May 22, near Spring Street and Library Street in Lake Elsinore, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a single vehicle involved in the crash with the driver suffering major injuries. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team is investigating the collision. No arrests have been made, according to authorities.
