Los Garza’z keeps crowd moving at Live at the Lakefront

Lake Elsinore’s Live at the Lakefront concert series continued July 23 at Launch Pointe with a performance by Los Garza’z.

The concert was the fourth of five free performances scheduled on Thursdays in July. The band performed salsa, cumbia and Latin pop music as attendees danced in front of the stage. Families watched from lawn chairs and blankets while children played nearby.

The Wanderlust Food Truck Festival also returned with a variety of food trucks offering different food and drink options for attendees.

Lake Elsinore resident Amberley Solnay attended the concert with her family.

“We knew about the Live at the Lake concert, so we just wanted to come out because we missed the whole bunch of them that were the first part of the month,” Solnay said. “But we were planning on doing this one and then the next one.”

She said the atmosphere stood out as soon as they arrived.

“There’s definitely a good crowd,” Solnay said. “And the food looks like it’s amazing.”

When asked about her favorite part of the evening, Solnay said, “So far, probably being able to move my hips and being able to take in some fresh air.”

Leo Garcia and Clarissa Tazares said they have attended every Live at the Lakefront concert this summer.

“We come every Thursday,” Garcia said.

The couple said Los Garza’z had been their favorite performance of the series because of the music and energy.

“100% fun,” Garcia said when asked to describe the atmosphere.

Tazares said events like Live at the Lakefront have become a way for residents to spend time together.

“The community comes together to enjoy and get along with each other,” Tazares said. “It also helps support local businesses.”

Live at the Lakefront concludes Thursday, July 30, with 90’s Station, a tribute band performing hits from the 1990s. The free concert runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Launch Pointe, 32040 Riverside Drive.
