The Lake Elsinore Eats & Beats Family Fun Fest brought families and vendors to Elm Grove Beach on June 6 for an evening of activities and entertainment.
The event was hosted by Locally Rooted, a business that puts together food festivals, pop-up events and markets in Riverside County. Eats & Beats was its first event at Elm Grove Beach and drew a steady turnout.
“Overall, the event was a success for the community, bringing families, local businesses, vendors and residents together for an evening of fun, music and lakeside vibes,” the Locally Rooted team said. “The event created a lively atmosphere where kids stayed entertained, adults relaxed and socialized, and local vendors had the opportunity to connect with the community.”
Families moved between attractions set up throughout the event space, including an RC rock crawling course from The Yard, a gel tag arena, Hot Wheels tracks and a mechanical bull. The event also featured food trucks and a variety of local vendors.
“Families were smiling, kids were laughing and staying entertained, and there was a great energy from start to finish,” the Locally Rooted team said.
Raffles were also part of the event, keeping families around to see what prizes they could win.
“The free raffles were a success,” the Locally Rooted team said. “Thanks to the generous donations by Lake Elsinore Storm and a few of our vendors, we gave away about 100 prizes.”
Music for the event was provided by DJ Robin.
“The DJ played a huge role in the fun atmosphere, getting both kids and adults involved with music, interactive games, and dancing,” the Locally Rooted team said. “She helped create a fun, energetic community atmosphere from start to finish.”
Initially, the event was considered for either Downtown Main Street or Elm Grove Beach. Elm Grove Beach was ultimately selected because organizers wanted a waterfront setting and scenic lake views for families to enjoy. Locally Rooted said it aimed to offer residents a “true beachside experience.”
Organizers said what stood out most that evening was the way people came together and spent time in the space.
“One of our favorite moments from the event was simply observing people being present in the moment and watching families connect and make memories that they will carry long after the event ends,” the Locally Rooted team said. “People seemed to slow down, engage with one another, and truly enjoy the moment.”
